[Parody] The Bachelor: Expanded Age Bracket Edition directed by Selena Brown

March 15, 2016

I recently directed the parody, The Bachelor: Expanded Age Bracket Edition. I worked with the writer, producer, and editor, Katie Gentic to make this project a reality for The Bachelor Nation...Woo Hoo! Katie is acting in the parody and a Bachelor fan as well.

I watch the show, so I understood the set up and how the contestants are portrayed on the show. The show itself is pretty entertaining. Being watchers of the show, it made the parody project easier to breakdown, shoot, and complete.

I had a blast working with some amazing talent here in Los Angeles. Many of the actresses were Groundlings-trained and the actors were just as well-prepared. As a director you hope for a smooth day of filming on set and that's what I had. The crew were just as passionate about the project as I was and we were able to film everything in one full day. We used two cameramen (Nick Harris and Keith Sikora) and a sound recordist (Justin Strazdas).

The Bachelor: Expandable Age Bracket Edition is up on Funny or Die. I have also embedded it here on my website so that you can watch it, share any comments, and rate it, Funny or Die below.
